Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Government Granted a FedRAMP ATO from HUD

Today we are excited to announce that we have been granted an Authority to Operate (ATO) from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on our Dynamics CRM Online Government cloud. This ATO is a significant step in giving our government customers the assurance they need so they can run their business solutions in the cloud while meeting regulatory and legislative requirements.  It further represents our deep support of government organizations by delivering a unified portfolio of cloud services for productivity, platform and business applications. This is all done on a trusted cloud platform with the flexibility and control agencies need for every classification of data.

With an organizational focus on creating strong, sustainable communities, HUD is committed to achieving its mission by empowering its workforce with modern, mobile technology.  HUD chose Dynamics CRM Online Government, with core case management functionality, as the best platform for modernizing business applications quickly and at a low cost. An integral component of the Microsoft Cloud for Government, Dynamics CRM Online Government ensures that agencies are able to get work done from any device, in the office or in the field, all with a single sign-on experience. Our commitment to enabling a highly mobile and productive government workforce is further enhanced by numerous custom solutions from Microsoft partners, which have been built specifically for government organizations and can be deployed in Dynamics CRM Online Government.

Taking advantage of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program’s (FedRAMP) agency accreditation, U.S. Government organizations can now leverage the HUD ATO and use the core capabilities available through Dynamics CRM Online Government. With this solution, organizations can extend the platform to meet the requirements for custom, line-of-business applications, all within a secured trusted cloud environment. Additionally, they can integrate with existing on-premises solutions and support hybrid deployment scenarios prior to fully transitioning to the cloud.  On top of that, government agencies across the federal, state, and local space can provide a higher level of service to meet and exceed the expectations of citizens and constituents, yet be agile enough to adapt to rapidly changing regulatory and legislative demands.
