Microsoft Business Applications at //Build

Adaptability. It is the key to the success of any business. How a business adapts to the needs of its customers, market demands, its environment, as well as any cultural shifts. To effectively adapt, an organization needs to have systems in place that allow it to change its business processes in real-time and do so in a seamless manner.

At Microsoft, we are helping our customers think about their business processes in new ways, delivering solutions across marketing, sales, service, finance, operations, and talent so they can more effectively engage with their customers, empower employees to be more productive, optimize their operations and digitally transform.

Finished business applications are the fastest path to business transformation, but every business has its unique processes, from how they market to how they sell, fulfill an order, invoice, and service their customers. This requires them to customize or adapt their business applications to integrate across their organization. Giving our customers that ability to extend and adapt their business applications to their needs is a key design element and a differentiator for Microsoft Business Applications. In cases where there just isn’t an app for a specific process, through the power of our Business Applications Platform, with PowerApps and Power BI, our customers can create custom apps.

The ability to create custom apps, and do so quickly with minimal IT support has given some of our customers, such as DriveTime and IPS, the ability to reimagine their business processes and accelerate their business transformation.

The Business Applications Platform also represents a huge opportunity for our ISV partners to extend and customize Office 365 and Dynamics 365 through PowerApps, Power BI, Microsoft Flow and the Common Data Service. This enables ISV’s to accelerate their deployment cycles by integrating class leading BI capabilities through Power BI into their own apps and leveraging the high productivity app development features of PowerApps and Microsoft Flow to build apps on top of the platform.

Join us at Microsoft Build, taking place May 7-9 in Seattle, we will be featuring all aspects of our Business Applications Platform, highlighting how you can use Power BI to gain end to end business intelligence and get actionable insights from your data. We’ll show you how with PowerApps you can unify your business applications data with your Office 365 data as well as third-party data sources to create custom applications.

I look forward to seeing you at the event and if you can’t make it in person there is also the option to join us virtually at Microsoft Build Live. It is a free digital experience that will allow you to tune into the live keynotes, interact with other developers and Microsoft experts, watch on-demand content, and more.
