CFO, Microsoft Business Applications

Jeff York is the CFO for the Microsoft Business Applications group. In his role, he leads a multi-functional finance team responsible for driving growth and adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate). Dynamics 365 and Power Platform are one of the fastest growing set of Microsoft cloud services and serve as the foundation for the overall Microsoft Cloud—allowing organizations to gain a holistic view of their business from marketing to sales to back-office operations and modernize legacy business process. 
 
Under York’s leadership, the business has grown to a multi-billion commercial operation growing in double digits and developing market leadership in a number of categories. His team is responsible for establishing and driving strategic business direction and execution, assessing business performance, forming investment and trade-off decisions, business model development, and helping to shape business transformation. In addition to the Business Applications leadership, his team also leads the Microsoft Industry portfolio of first party applications. 
 
York joined Microsoft in 2003 and has shaped the business in a variety of roles. Prior to his current position as CFO, he previously led the Finance Strategy and Planning team supporting WW Sales and Marketing group, where he was responsible for leading the annual planning process and organizational strategy. Prior to that, he led the Business Insights team for the WW Enterprise business; was the subsidiary CFO for Microsoft Portugal; and also served in various capacities in the US subsidiary.
 
He holds a BA in Business from the University of Washington and lives in Seattle with his wife and three kids.
