Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog

As we've mentioned before, the National Retail Federation's annual retail conference (this year known as the BIG Show) is “the” place to be for retailers. Whether it’s the CFO, CIO, VP of Loss Prevention or store manager, the crème de la crème of retailers all flock to New York each and every January to learn and network with over 16000 attendees, representing over 4000 retail companies from across the US and around the world.

This year, like previous years, Microsoft boasts a huge presence at the event and has made considerable investments with large sponsorship, 6 BIG !deas sessions, considerable EXPO presence and more to ensure strong event visibility. Here at Microsoft Dynamics we have made significant investments in our retail roadmap through two major acquisitions that are testament to our continued investment and commitment to the retail space.  With all of this in mind NRF 2010 is the ideal platform from which to announce and start the launch process for our new Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail solution. What this all means is that while our Microsoft presence is as strong as ever one thing is different this year – it is not Office, Windows or even our new search engine Bing stealing the spotlight but Microsoft Dynamics with our Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail solution spearheading the attack!

In the EXPO area alone our 2400 sqft/223 m2 Microsoft booth boasts 29 individual pods 8 of which are Microsoft Dynamics ERP representing close to 30% of the total demo space. The Microsoft Dynamics pods will showcase our full end-to-end retail story through the Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail solution, Commerce Services and Payment Services for Microsoft Dynamics and a distribution solution from French ISV TVH. On top of our EXPO presence Microsoft Dynamics has invested heavily in bus sponsorship (the buses themselves and headrests inside the buses) floor dots throughout the EXPO hall (including in front of our competition's booths) and we have analyst and press activities lined up to ensure maximum coverage (you can expect more blog posts including pictures on all of this during the event itself.)

If you are attending NRF you can see how Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail provides unique out-of-the-box integration to a purpose-built point of sale — fully connecting back-office data to the retail store — at Microsoft booth 836. If you are not here in New York then don't lose sleep over it as I will be representing The Edge as the man on the ground (losing sleep for you) to keep you updated and helping you maintain your edge…..through The Edge! You can also follow me on twitter at http://twitter.com/lukeshave if you prefer to tweet.

Make sure you swing by reguarly for all the latest Microsoft Dynamics ERP news from the event!!

Until then, sleep well (and spare a thought for me with a constant chorus of beeping car horns outside my hotel room window :))

Regards from NYC
