Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog

Community is at the heart of Microsoft Dynamics GP and it is evident at Convergence 2011. With more than 9,300 customers, partners and team members gathered at the annual customer conference showcasing the innovation that our connected ecosystem continues drive.  Microsoft’s premier customer event is alive with keynotes, general sessions, deep dive sessions, and concurrent sessions, as well as interactive discussions, Birds of a Feather events, EXPO, and the networking opportunities within the Community and Learning Center. With all the activities and learning going on, there’s plenty for attendees to get excited about.

Yesterday at the Microsoft Dynamics GP General Session the crowd enjoyed a preview of the upcoming release (May 2011) of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 featuring the new Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Analyzer. The Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Analyzer provides personalized charts with drill-back capabilities that let you move from a high-level view down to a specific record, and action buttons to assign tasks and collaborate more easily with others. Change how you interact with colleagues and assign tasks easily using enhanced instant messaging and real-time presence information from Microsoft Lync™ Server 2010. With secure access through the Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Analyzer from virtually any location, employees can view critical role-based information, assign tasks, access templates for charts and KPIs, and collaborate with others from their desktop or mobile device.

In addition to the General Session and many great Concurrent and Interactive Sessions held throughout the day, I had the privilege to attend the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Awards Luncheon celebrating the many accomplishments of customers across the Microsoft Dynamics community. I am continually amazed by the creativity, innovation and passion our customers exhibit through the use of our technology.  Congratulations to the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2011 Customer Excellence Award Winners:

Excellence in Evangelism, Monterey Bay Aquarium (Partner, Frank, Rimerman Consulting)
Excellence in Financial Management, Zeller Corporation (Partner, Tribridge)
Excellence in Innovation, Price Transfer, Inc. (Partner, Silver Bullet Technologies)

For those of you attending Convergence, enjoy the remaining sessions and activities.
