New Belgium Brewing is…
- …about great beer
- …love in a bottle
- …world class
- … trendsetting
- …awesome
- …fun
- All of the above!
Those were statements made by employees at New Belgium Brewing recently when we partnered to make a documentary about their business. It has been great to have New Belgium Brewing featured in both the Key Note and our Microsoft Dynamics AX General Session here at Convergence in Atlanta. They really are “all of the above.”
New Belgium Brewing is 100% employee owned and their commitment to high-involvement culture shows in a variety of ways. From “Random Acts of Ownership to how everyone chips in, from the big ideas to helping with small things like picking up “pieces of trash” It’s clear they walk the talk—they truly believe that the collective is stronger than the individual and that informed coworkers will make responsible decisions.
Travis Morrison may be the New Belgium IT Director, but the way he talks about the company and his job you’d think he was CEO, not just the guy who implements the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. He cares about it that much. When speaking about customers and the experience he wants for them he says, “I would want them to really taste craftsmanship and the love and the passion that’s gone into the beer.” For Travis and team, that concept speaks to what New Belgium Brewing is all about: sure they make money, but it is also about crafting high-quality, sustainable products and giving back to the community and the environment.
Travis says it best: “If you come to the brewery, it’s all about the experience. The beer almost becomes a secondary part of that. It’s about who you’re with in that experience. And the beer just enhances it.”
See Travis and more of our friends from New Belgium Brewing in the trailer for the film “Love in a bottle” about how a regional craft brewery uses technology—including ERP software—to serve customers more than just a frosty mug.
