The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC — taking place this week in Orlando, Florida) is the ideal setting to celebrate and recognize the importance and value of our partner ecosystem as well as to share a vision of how together we can continue to lead business transformation throughout the world.  We will also explore the multiple opportunities for partners to grow their business profitably while driving transformational impact on customer’s business processes.  

The changing landscape of business applications in the cloud delivers even more compelling opportunities for Microsoft partners.  Cloud-enabled intelligent business applications are helping organizations do more and achieve more.  Workplace productivity is being reinvented around business processes that are simpler, more agile and connected.  Dynamics-centered business solutions are leading the way in helping organizations of all sizes better engage with their customers and intelligently run their operations. 

At WPC 2015, Microsoft is expanding the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program with Dynamics CRM Online joining Office 365, Azure, Intune, and EMS.  The CSP program enables partners to:

  • Sell integrated offers and solutions across all our cloud services
  • Own the end-to-end customer lifecycle with direct provisioning, management, and support
  • Own and control the billing relationship – partners create an offer, set the price, and manage the billing terms, providing one convenient bill to our customers.
  • Add partner services and IP to deliver a complete end-to-end solution

This keeps partners at the center of the customer relationship and provides opportunities to upsell, driving higher customer adoption, satisfaction and loyalty. 

CSP is a great fit for Dynamics partners as it enables the provisioning and management of subscriptions for multiple cloud services and a smoother buying process for customers, allowing partners to become trusted advisors and one-stop source for selling “Business Solutions from Microsoft”.  CSP provides partners control, ownership, and more tools to service the complete customer lifecycle, including customer billing and technical support

In the end CSP gives customers what they really want from their solution providers: a seamless process that spans the evaluation and testing of software, followed by deployment, management, upgrading and the continuous optimization of the customers’ technology strategy and investments from a strategic technology partner and advisor.  We are excited that CRM online is now offered as a service in this program and we are also pleased to announce that Dynamics AX7 – the next version of our flagship ERP product, will join CSP in the coming year.

We are also redesigning our programs to help partners differentiate themselves as they build solutions for Dynamics AX using lifecycle services. Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) is a Microsoft Azure based service that helps businesses deploy, operate and support ERP projects through best practices and methodologies. I truly believe this year’s Worldwide Partner Conference will be the most exciting WPC we’ve ever had.   From our strong execution on the One Microsoft vision to our innovative new product features and partner programs, we’re extremely excited to share with our partners what’s in store for the coming year.   And it all centers on the continuing transition to a Cloud-first and Mobile-first world where we, TOGETHER, will help companies reinvent their business processes to do more and achieve more.
