Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online is first to achieve a JAB P-ATO using the FedRAMP Accelerated Process

Today we are pleased to announce that Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Government is the first CSP to be granted a moderate level Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO) by the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) using the new FedRAMP Accelerated authorization timeline.

FedRAMP provides a standardized methodology for assessing, authorizing, and monitoring cloud services for US Government agencies. The new FedRAMP process—FedRAMP Accelerated—was designed to be more in line with the speed of digital transformation, creating a more predictable and reliable timeline for CSPs to become authorized.
Microsoft has been working with FedRAMP since its inception, which allowed us to meet the new FedRAMP standards and achieve the P-ATO within just 15 weeks. As the first cloud program to be granted a P-ATO using FedRAMP Accelerated, we are excited by the possibilities this newly-improved process affords to both agencies and CSPs. Agencies will now have access to secure innovative cloud solutions that have met the FedRAMP bar within weeks as opposed to nine months to two years from release in the market.
