Extend and integrate Dynamics 365 for Talent with Common Data Service for Apps

We are announcing the launch of Dynamics 365 for Talent powered by the Common Data Service for Apps.

Beginning today, all new customers signing up for Core HR, Attract or Onboard will receive an environment powered by the Common Data Service for Apps (CDS). All new trial environments created for Talent applications will also be powered by CDS for Apps. If you are already using Talent on CDS 1.0, don’t worry! Migration from CDS 1.0 to CDS for Apps is coming soon. We’ll let you know when it will be available and what to expect from the migration.

Drive digital transformation

Customers need efficient means to drive the digital transformation of their HR and Talent experiences to attract and retain critical talent. Having a single and coherent view of people is one of the critical foundations to achieve this. Dynamics 365 for Talent enables this digital transformation by building on the Common Data Service for Apps (CDS for Apps)

Customer and partners have more data available for the unmatched palette of tools to extend, customize, and integrate provided by Common Data Service for Apps. This includes tools such as Power BI, PowerApps and Microsoft Flow. With this release, customers and partners will have over 65 primary entities spanning capabilities across Core HR, Attract and Onboard.

Over time, these entities will continue to be enriched, developed and updated by the product team, with many core Talent entities becoming part of the Common Data Model initiative.

Leveraging the power of the Dynamics 365 and CDS data connectors, users can create rich canvases and model-driven applications with PowerApps, build powerful workflow automation using Flow as well as drive intelligent insights and analytics with Power BI — unlocking the power of the data in Dynamics 365 for Talent.
