Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog

Today, CRM Sustained Engineering sent CRM v3.0 Update Rollup 1 packages to more than sixty selected customers and partners for pre-release testing.  Pre-Release testers:  Please look for an email from me, sent this morning, regarding test program details and package locations.

Please note: nominations for the pre-release program are now officially closed.

Update Rollup 1 will include approximately 100 fixes previously available only as individual packages, and only by calling support.  We’re releasing them publicly via the Microsoft Download Center (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads), with a target date Nov. 15th, 2006, to ease deployment – to allow you to get your Microsoft CRM 3.0 clients and servers “current” as quickly and easily as possible.  We are very excited about this release!

Questions?  Please free to send us an email via crmsepm@microsoft.com.

Thanks,

Greg Nichols

UPDATE: Contrary to some information posted to the Internet, this Update Rollup does not address, and was not meant to address, CRM v3.0 Client compatibility with Windows Vista and/or Office 2007.  Update Rollup 1 is meant to provide a streamlined way to deploy existing CRM 3.0 hotfixes.

Here’s a Microsoft blog posting that does discuss CRM v3.0 Client compatibility with Windows Vista and/or Office 2007.

Best regards,

Greg Nichols
