Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog

I was doing some research for a response that I was preparing for a request for information about intercompany planning when I came across a great webcast titled Intercompany planning and planning setup in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. If you’re interested in getting an overview of the features for intercompany planning, I highly recommend that you view the webcast.

The webcast was held by a Dynamics Technical Specialist a while back, and it describes intercompany planning in a business context that makes it easier to understand, even for someone like me who knows only the basics about master planning and intercompany trade. The presentation describes the end-to-end scenario for intercompany planning, from set up to scheduling to operational execution. The following list includes just some of the information that the webcast covers:

  • Explanations of intercompany demand planning terminology and concepts
  • Description of the scheduling flow
  • An in-product demonstration
  • Differences between the functionality in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Here’s a link to the recording, which you can view online or download.
