Issue description:

AX 2012 R3 – A user cannot sync to a Document Template Library with federated authentication

and no error message displays,but If you are logged into SharePoint site and try attaching the file then,

it works fine.

Workaround suggestion:

Setup is completed following the article below:

Configure and use Microsoft Dynamics AX document management with Microsoft SharePoint document libraries [AX 2012]

This a known issue and the logon prompt was remove when you are accessing the SharePoint Online

through federated access.

You need to logon to SharePoint online in a browser in order to generate the cookie cache

and fix the synchronization issue.

If you are not using federated authentication, where users have a direct connection to SharePoint Online,

then Dynamics AX client will get a normal logon prompt, and complete a basic authentication over SSL.
