Hot on the heels of the Windows Server 2012 launch , we are excited to share the latest reference architecture from HP, featuring Windows Server 2012 VDI capabilities.  Targeting small and medium business customers, the reference architecture describes the components needed to assemble a high-performing, cost-effective solution.  An HP ProLiant DL380p server was used with the LoginVSI test suite to determine the scalability of Windows 7 and Windows 8 guests per host machine.  The LoginVSI limit of 239 Windows 7 guests or 235 Windows 8 guests was impressive!

For anyone thinking about deploying VDI on Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, we encourage reviewing the “ HP Client Virtualization SMB Reference Architecture for Windows Server 2012 ”.   We will continue to provide pointers to solutions, reference architectures, and tests as they become available.
