On October 15, Google announced that the first Nexus devices supporting Android 5.0 Lollipop will be available on November 3. Though the release date was just announced recently, Lollipop has been our radar for quite some time. The Intune team has been working extensively with the developer preview since its release in July so that we can provide you with Lollipop compatibility support on day 0.

Similar to the day 0 support we provided for iOS 8 , the Microsoft Intune service will have day 0 support for Android Lollipop. Customers using Intune with System Center Configuration Manager will also have day 0 support. This means that you will have complete continuity of device and application management on Lollipop just as was available on prior versions of Android.

We encourage you to stay tuned to this blog as we continue to share our plans to support new features. Also, if you’re not yet using Intune, sign up for a free 30-day trial today!
