Microsoft Cloud-Services expandieren in Europa einschliesslich neuer Schweizer Datacenter
Wallisellen, 14. März 2018 – Microsoft baut seine Cloud-Infrastruktur zügig aus und adressiert die steigende Kundennachfrage in Europa. Das Unternehmen gab heute die Verfügbarkeit der Cloud-Services in Frankreich sowie die Erweiterung der selben aus Deutschland bekannt. Neu bietet Microsoft Cloud-Services aus Datacentern in der Schweiz an.
Microsoft plant, Cloud-Services für Unternehmen, Behörden und NGOs von Datacentern in den Kantonen Zürich und Genf anzubieten. Damit kann Microsoft die Datenspeicherung in der Schweiz garantieren und unterstützt Schweizer Unternehmen und Institutionen, einschliesslich der Finanzdienstleistungsbranche, die digitale Transformation voranzutreiben. Die Microsoft Cloud – bestehend aus Microsoft Azure, Office 365 und Dynamics 365 – wird voraussichtlich ab 2019 aus Schweizer Datacentern verfügbar sein.

Die Möglichkeit, Daten in den neuen Cloud-Regionen Zürich und Genf zu speichern, bietet eine weitere Kontrollebene und hilft Unternehmen und Institutionen, die regulatorischen Anforderungen zu erfüllen. Die aus der Schweiz angebotenen Cloud-Services wie Microsoft Azure, Office 365 und Dynamics 365 sind deshalb besonders interessant für Schweizer Unternehmen und Organisationen, die mit sensiblen Daten arbeiten, wie z.B. der Finanz- oder Gesundheitssektor, der öffentliche Sektor und der starke NGO-Sektor in der Schweiz. Microsoft Cloud Services Expand in Europe including New Swiss Datacenters
Wallisellen, March 14th 2018 – Microsoft has been rapidly expanding its cloud infrastructure to meet increasing customer demand in Europe and today announced the availability of new cloud services in France and the expansion of cloud services from new datacenters in Germany and Switzerland.
Microsoft plans to offer enterprise cloud services for businesses, government, and NGOs from datacenter locations in the cantons of Geneva and Zurich. Microsoft can thereby provide data residency in Switzerland to support Swiss companies and institutions, including the financial services industry, in the next steps of their digital transformation. The Microsoft Cloud – comprising Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics 365 – from Swiss datacenters is expected to be initially available in 2019.
