Global leaders convene to explore transformation of Mexico’s energy industry

Energy Mexico capture_300_300As we kick off 2016, it’s exciting to see how recent historic reforms to the Mexican energy sector have been generating big opportunities in the market over the last few years. Mexico’s energy sector is booming, with the opening of the hydrocarbons and gas and electricity markets, as well as the introduction of new legal and regulatory frameworks. These have all been key in helping Mexico attract new national and foreign investments that will continue to enhance the country’s economic growth.

What’s happening in Mexico’s energy sector is energizing, not only for the industry, but for the world. And to bring the foremost energy experts together to discuss this evolution, Mexico is hosting its first-ever, all-inclusive energy event at the end of this month. Energy Mexico 2016 is an exhibition and conference solely dedicated to the energy sector, and will be held 26-28 January in beautiful Centro Banamex, Mexico City.

Microsoft’s Çağlayan Arkan, Microsoft General Manager of Worldwide Manufacturing & Resources, is participating in this historic event as a featured speaker. Çağlayan will share in the discussion around how the country’s energy reforms are transforming every aspect of the energy industry, as well as how technology can enable new opportunities.

Energy Mexico 2016 is being held in collaboration with the Energy Intelligence Group and will focus on issues such as progress, opportunities and challenges in the implementation of the Mexican energy reform, regulatory and business perspectives, new technologies and projects in the Mexican hydrocarbon and electricity sector, energy project funding, as well as strategies and adaptation to regulatory changes.

You can go here to learn more about the event and sign up to attend. I also encourage you to read more from Çağlayan about how technology is driving big transformation for businesses, industries and even economies. You can also follow him on Twitter and his posts on LinkedIn.
