Are you a developer or researcher looking for access to today’s quantum hardware and tools?  Please join us at our third Azure Quantum Developer Workshop where we’ll explore and experiment with today’s state-of-the-art quantum hardware using Azure Quantum. Leading experts in the field will help you learn about the expanding Azure Quantum ecosystem, how to create a hybrid quantum workflow, and then run a program on real quantum hardware.

This free, online workshop will run June 30 (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Pacific Time) and provide you the latest updates on the entire Azure Quantum ecosystem. Tune in for an overview of how the tools in the Microsoft Quantum Development Kit (QDK) and Azure Quantum will assist you through each stage of your quantum software development. We’re also hosting a guest session from our hardware partner IonQ where you’ll learn more about their trapped ion quantum hardware system available in Azure Quantum today.

Here’s a quick look at our agenda and speakers:

Azure Quantum Ecosystem Update (8:00 AM – 8:15 AM Pacific Time)

Microsoft’s Azure Quantum Program Management Lead, Fabrice Frachon, will update you on current developments and share some exciting new capabilities coming soon in the Azure Quantum ecosystem.

Developing on Azure Quantum (8:15 AM – 10:45 AM Pacific Time)

Microsoft’s Senior Quantum Software Engineer, Mariia Mykhailova, will walk you through the quantum software development workflow, from writing the code and validating it to running it on today’s quantum hardware. Pro tip: For the best hands-on learning experience during this section, install the QDK locally rather than using online tools. See the registration page for Microsoft QDK tool installation guidance (optional).

IonQ Showcase: Quantum Computing System Update and Demo (10:45 AM – 11:25 AM Pacific Time)

Dave Bacon, VP of Software at IonQ, will provide an overview of IonQ’s trapped-ion system available through Azure Quantum, including recent updates, capabilities, and best practices. IonQ is the leading trapped-ion quantum computing company developing quantum hardware and software to generate, optimize, and execute quantum circuits.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the world’s growing quantum ecosystem

There are no prerequisites to participate in this free workshop but to get the most out of it, you should have some familiarity with quantum computing concepts. If you’re new to Azure Quantum, you’re welcome to view our first two workshops on-demand to get up to speed.

In our first Azure Quantum Developer Workshop, we covered QDK and Q# fundamentals, using the basics of quantum computing and a very simple quantum algorithm as an example. In our second Azure Quantum Developer Workshop, you’ll hear about the entire Azure Quantum ecosystem with product showcases by hardware members Honeywell Quantum Systems and IonQ, quantum computing software solutions from 1Qbit, and quantum-inspired optimization solutions from Microsoft.

You can also get customized learning resources to match your interests through the Azure Quantum learning webpage.
