SQL Server 2012 Momentum Continues with Virtual Launch Event

Today the SQL Server team is proud to be bringing you another milestone as part of our product launch, the SQL Server 2012 Virtual Launch Event. It is an integrated experience with including keynotes from both Ted Kummert and Quentin Clark covering the New World of Data and the great new capabilities delivered in SQL Server 2012 as well as technical product tracks, a virtual expo hall and a new networking lounge.

This morning some of you may have experienced delays gaining access to our event. Quite simply, demand far exceeded the capacity for which we had. To address the issue, we quickly responded by bringing additional servers online. All sessions are now functioning as designed, delivering a great virtual launch experience.

Thru the VLE, experts cover 27 technical sessions and 6 unique thought-provoking sessions for IT decision makers. Thanks to our extensive engineering-supported Technology Adoption (TAP) and Rapid Deployment (RDP) programs, many of the world’s largest customers are already experiencing the valuable improvements in SQL Server 2012, including Mission Critical availability and performance, Breakthrough Insight with stunning data visualizations, and enabling Hybrid IT and Hybrid applications with cloud-ready functionality. To showcase some of these examples, there are 7 in-depth interviews with customers who have already deployed SQL Server 2012 in production environments.

In addition, Microsoft partners play an important role in taking great Microsoft products and helping create highly valuable solutions for customers. You can also experience content from SAP, EMC, HP and more than 55 other worldwide partners. Our partners such as Temenos, Redknee, and Siemens PLM, will also be sharing real-world applications and load benchmarks. Lastly, there are also 8 topic pods covering topics from Big Data to High Availability, where engineers are standing by to answer your questions.

We look forward to spending time with you and thank you for participating in the SQL Server 2012 Virtual Launch Event!
