A recent change is causing an Unexpected Client Error on the Environment details page in LCS. This error only occurs for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations on-premises environments. Although the error occurs, there is no impact on the on-premises environment or the features in LCS that allow you to interact with the on-premises environment.
Today, a user can sign in to Lifecycle Services (LCS) using a Microsoft Account (MSA) (such as Live or Hotmail), and without purchasing a Support plan or subscription, create a Prospective presales project to try LCS features or set up demo environments.
The following features are either new or changed in on-premises deployments of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition 7.2 with platform update 12. In the next few months, customers who have purchased Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition (D365FFO) and Dynamics 365 for Retail will no longer have RDP access to the Tiers 2, 3, 4, and 5 Standard Acceptance Test environments deployed in a Microsoft subscription.
Update as of Feb 22, 2018 – The below issue has now been fixed. Applying packages will no longer fail during the preperation phase when trying to download the package on the BI machine.

Today, we enabled a new feature in Lifecycle Services (LCS) called ‘Report production outage‘. This feature is available to all customers that have purchased Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition and have implementation projects with a production environment deployed in LCS.
Updated January 12 – This update is to notify you of a delay in the change to remove administrative access to the Azure SQL server associated with their Tiers 2, 3, 4, and 5 sandbox environments deployed in a Microsoft subscription.

Because Dynamics AX 2012 is no longer on the Microsoft price list we are discontinuing deployments of any new Dynamics AX 2012 demo virtual machines through Lifecyle Services (LCS). This means that after November 27, 2017 it will not be possible to deploy demo topologies for Dynamics AX 2012 R3.
